GREEN World Café – GREENING Training: A Pedagogical Approach to Sustainability
On 27 September 2024, European Federation for Welding, Joining And Cutting (EWF) organised a Green World Café in Portugal under the title "GREENING Training: A Pedagogical Approach to
Sustainability", as part of the activities of the GREEN project.
The event brought together 20 participants from four different educational institutions, ranging from universities to vocational training
centres. It provided an open and interactive space for sharing ideas, reflecting on the importance of green skills, and discussing the
evolving role of educators in the green transition.
During the session, the GREEN project and its preliminary results were presented, along with a showcase of the GreenWeld project, which
focuses on making welding practices more sustainable. This allowed participants to explore concrete examples of how pedagogical
approaches and technical training can support the shift towards greener education and professions.
