Green the Greener European VET Network
The GREEN Project Final Conference, held in Brussels on 13 May 2025, continues to generate momentum across the European VET and policy
landscape. Most recently, the GREEN VET Network was featured in the latest ESCO Newsletter, published by the European Commission's
Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion.
This recognition follows the active participation of ESCO (European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations) in the final
conference, where they joined a panel discussion titled “Sustainable Industry: The Workforce of the Future”. The session brought together
policymakers, education experts, and industry representatives to explore how VET can become a driver of Europe’s green transition.
The inclusion of the GREEN VET Network in this high-level communication outlet reinforces the strategic alignment between the GREEN
Project and EU frameworks, particularly in the areas of green skills identification, labelling, and integration into VET systems.
It also highlights the long-term relevance of the GREEN VET Network, which continues to expand and support education and training ~
providers in embedding sustainability into their programmes and institutional culture.
This reference is a testament to the GREEN project’s impact beyond its formal implementation period, contributing to broader EU goals
such as the Green Deal, the Union of Skills, and the Clean Industry Deal.
