Green Consortium took part in a joint event during Green Week 2023, organized by the European Federation for Welding, Joining and Cutting (EWF), focused on the theme: "Developing Skills for a Sustainable and Resilient Education and Industry."

The Green Week is an annual initiative hosted by the European Commission that focuses on environmental issues and sustainable development. The event attracts a wide range of participants, including policymakers, industry representatives, environmental organizations, and researchers, among others. By aligning their event with the Green Week, the EWF and its partners aimed to emphasize the importance of sustainability and resilience in their field and contribute to the broader environmental objectives of the European Union.

Overall, the event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of sustainability and foster a collaborative approach to address environmental challenges. By bringing together experts, practitioners, and policymakers, the "Developing Skills for a Sustainable and Resilient Education and Industry" event likely facilitated knowledge exchange and the formulation of strategies to promote Green Transition through education and training.

The event brought together 58 participants from diverse fields, including education and industry, who shared their valuable perspectives on driving the green transition, among which:

• CECIMO provided an in-depth overview of the GREEN project, outlining its main goals and vision for a resilient and sustainable future, Mercantec - Karrierecenter Midt highlighted the crucial role of training in preparing individuals for the green transition and the barriers, Centro Tecnológico del Mar - FUNDACIÓN CETMAR focused on key greenskills required for the industry workforce.

• The exchange of ideas and knowledge during the webinar was truly remarkable. Through collaboration, we can create a sustainable and resilient future for our planet and industries.
