National Conference was held at the University of Cyprus
On 10 April 2025, a National Conference was held at the University of Cyprus under the theme “Green Synergy: Industry & Education Driving the
Green Transition”. The event gathered 18 participants from the education sector, industry, and public institutions, promoting dialogue on how
to foster cooperation for a more sustainable future.
Through a series of panel discussions, the conference addressed key challenges and opportunities in the green transition, including energy
innovation, workforce upskilling, and the transformative role of education. Several projects were presented, including BuildSkills Academy,
SHOREWINNER, PowerUp, and the GREEN VET Network initiative, with emphasis on practical solutions and alignment with EU
sustainability goals.
The event highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between education and industry, and the need to equip learners with
the green skills required for the jobs of the future.
